I think Einstein is onto something here. Living the life of an homeschooling/unschooling parent has taken me into to the world of fairy tales. Growing up I heard very little of fairy tales after 6 or 7 years old.

I think children who are read fairy tales are less cynical. The tales help them understand the world is a murky place and not always predictable.

Yeah, I know that I become less cynical when I focus on them for awhile.
