The Second Time Around

The other day we watched What a Way to Go for the second time with a friend of ours, it was a lot better the second time around. Wow! After it was done my friend looked over at me and said, "That was probably one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. There is a years worth of reading packed into two hours."

I agree. If you want to know why this culture is so descructive and unhealthy to live in definately take the time to check this out. It's well worth it!

Here is a blog post talking about the effects it had on a person that recently watched it.

Also, if you want to check out some really funny comics take the time to visit Minimum Security.

I watched it with D last weekend, it grew on me the second time too.

I'm still not fond of the introduction, the repetitive phrasing if offputting.

Hi Erik,

I've been thinking about asking for donations on the internet to purchase one copy of "What a Way to Go" to place in atleast one library in Wisconsin. The other day I checked with the Spooner librarian to see if she could find a copy of it in the inter-library loan system of Wisconsin and she couldn't. My thinking is that for most people it is to expensive to buy but if they could access it through inter-library loan they might have a chance at seeing it and showing it to others.

What do you or anyone else reading this think of this idea? Do you think people would just be willing to send someone they don't know money to purchase the DVD? I know in the past I have donated small amounts of money to efforts like this.

Do you or anyone else have any better ideas?

Take care,

Curt
