A week before the snow fell we finished up our earth roof. It took us about 8 days to complete this. I have no idea how many buckets we hoisted up there. It had to have been thousands, it sure felt like thousands. And we couldn't have done it without the help of family and friends.

I have been following your construction project and been enjoying it very much. I hope to begin work on my own home next year. If you have any photos of the interior of your house it would be great if you could post them.
I myself am not sure about the earth roof. I think I would most likely go with a traditional peaked roof with metal roofing. However I am curious as to why you chose to go with the earth roof?
